I think Jurgen Zack holds it, not sure how fast
4h14' and change. jurgen in 1999 in Roth.
though Thomas H. argued (rightly so) that he also biked 4h14' anda bit more change in 1997, but his time included T2 and is actually a bit faster.

Was wondering where Olaf Sabatschus split (4:17) at IM Austria stood in the big picture. Of course, even if fastest, it wouldn't (and doesn't) count as he did a DNF.

I talked with him.
he was not planning to run as he has had an achille injury since Bonn triathlon mid june.
but he said, he felt great on the bike, and tried to run but the achille was very tender after only 500m
as he is going to kona anyway, he gave it a miss
not to aggravate the injury and miss kona.
