Wondering if anyone has any direct experience or feedback on the specialized transition xsmall. I have read thoughts from the experts but was hoping to get some first hand experience/feedback. I am one of the 5'3" females trying to determine between a 650 and a 700 wheel tri set up.

I ride one and really like it. I had it professionally fit and they did have to switch out the stem to something smaller (I'm 5"1). I also ended up cutting the back of the aero bars down because my knees would bump into them when I stood to climb.
It's very comfy and I had a good race at Honu on it.

Being that small you should look into a Pinarello FT1 (with Durace) an FT3 or a Montello... they are beautiful fast bikes with an excellent fit quality for women because they are a European fit rather than the big gangly US bikes. (all of these mentioned are 2010 frames too so if one of the distributors has one in stock you will most likely get it a lot cheaper than it sold for last year).
I ride an FP3 road and to say that I love it is a very underestimated expression.

I am an avid cyclist who is also the co-owner and buyer for Low Country Multisport a performance specific F.I.S.T. certified fit studio and repair shop in the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina. And, I just happen to be married to a retired Marine who is completely addicted to the iron distance. "lord help my wallet!!"

I don't have any experience with the Transition, but I'm a 5'-2" woman, and I've ridden and owned bikes with 700 and 650 wheels. Now I only ride 650s. I think manufacturers put 700 wheels on an XS frame because it's probably more profitable for them to spec all of their frame sizes uniformly. Plus, the masses have been conditioned to believe that 700 wheels are in some way superior, so many people our size won't even look at bikes with 650 wheels. Personally, I think 700 wheels on a tiny frame look and feel awkward, and the frame design was likely compromised in some way to make them fit. They are bigger than they need to be for people like us.

mirinda carfrae the female ironman world champion rides 650's... on an extra small 700's might look ridiculous
