I was afraid they were custom. Really nice work on them, all the way down to the reliefs you milled. Thanks for the extra pics!

That is an awesome frame! It looks like the road version of the Lotus Boardman track bike that caused all the controversy. Or is it another type?
There was a pair of the Lotus bikes for sale at auction a couple of years back, one of the road equipped bikes with Campag gear and also one of the much rarer track versions from the short period before they were banned. I can't remember exactly but I seem to think there were a lot zero's on the final sale price especially with the history and being a pair.

Any stability problems riding that front wheel on a gusty day? Mavic says it's just for the track. I know Jan used one and so have a couple of other pros in the grand tours, but I don't recall any of them winning anything.I only use the wheel on days without too much wind (less than 10 m/s). For windy days I switch for something with a lower profile. For comparison, I don't find it more difficult to control than a 808 front wheel when it's windy.
Btw; as of 2010 Mavic also make a road version of the wheel.

Just finished building up my old Felt S32 as a road bike for the wife.
Turned out pretty decent me thinks, some adjusting of the seat and handlebars and we are off on a ride together. Can't wait! :)

Another IM in 2016 - hopefully..

Still haven't gotten the bar height right yet - first fitting felt too low, now feel like they are too high. I do like the Cobb Plus saddle and will buy have to give the tester back and buy one this week.

I'm suffering from some serious bike envy on here. I'm a complete noob, and my roadie is my only bike. I almost don't want to post it (partly because I don't have any good pictures of it either). Old bike, meet new bike.

Clean! What do you do for hydration...just got a 2011 Slice 3 and trying to figure out how to configure for IM and half. I'm leaning towards frame, one back a la Lieto and aquadrink(ish) on front (Torhans?) but just wondering what others with slices are doing while keeping it fairly aero...

At this stage I am just doing half IM distance, so I can get by with the single bottle cage on the frame for swapping out on-course bottles. May have to look at setting up a torpedo bottle on the aerobar extensions, although it makes mounting my Garmin Edge 500 a bit difficult.

Sounds good. I guess that is one benefit to not using a garmin! Lol...I might have to try using the on course stuff for the halfs in order to see if it works. Thanks for the info!

Is this a wheel cover?...or just a different brand disk with easton stickers?

This is actually an old 950 zipp disc that I picked up of ebay several years ago. I cleaned it up, sanded it and painted it with semi-flat black paint meant for plastic. I then found the Easton stickers on ebay and put them on. It matches pretty well with the front wheel, not perfect, but good enough.

Where did you get the aero wheelset? Do you like them? Lightweight? Stiff? Thanks.

Still needs a little bit of fit and finish, but looks damn good to me!

Nice bike! First one I've seen in the wild. What bottle holder is that on the rear?
