Sorry, Jordan, don't know if this is the type of place to post this. In the past, Dan has allowed me to put them on the main forum every once in awhile.
Anyway, as I received a call from a startup bike company today, and I started to contact my stable of experienced bike industry engineers, I thought I'd put out a call to any others who may have gone independent over the course of the past couple of years. I periodically get contacted by either companies I've worked with (selling engineering tools), or new companies looking for experienced bike industry engineers looking for help.
Please feel free to email me at
cprestonoc@yahoo.com and we can start discussions on how I work. At this point, having 4 VERY experienced and talented design, engineering, and manufacturing experienced people to work with, I have a pretty good offering to provide. However, I'm always looking for people with specific talents to the bike industry.
Also, if you have design/engineering experience outside the bike industry, my regular day job provides a large volume of engineering services to people in the aerospace industry, so we may be able to contract you as well. We've got people onsite at places like Boeing, Parker Hannifin, Rockwell, Honeywell, Goodrich, etc...as well as others doing more "consulting" work on their own. Much of our services revolve around Catia design and training (which are not products we sell), NX, and advanced analysis work (NX Advanced Simulation, FEMAP + Nastran, etc.). However, I am moving more into CFD work (we offer CF Design and CFD++), and we just picked up Moldflow for the plastics guys with experience utilizing it.
We always contract with people first (as opposed to hiring full time), but should you be able to expand our services/offerings inside a client, it helps push you to full time status if you desire.
Let me know.
