I'm Available: Law Clerk for Summer 2010
I am currently a 2nd year law student at the University of Alabama School of Law.

I am interested in a clerkship, preferably in a small to medium firm. Location is not really an issue.

I am on track to graduate in 2 1/2 years instead of 3, am a Junior editor in the Civil Rights and Liberties Law Review, and my main interest is plaintiff litigation.

If you have something available, let me know and I can send in a resume and a writing sample.

How's the legal job market in Alabama? Out here in CA, it's terrible. I got friends that graduated a year ago and can't find anything.

Good luck in your search for a clerkship.

The market in Alabama has slowed, but there are still jobs available. Summer clerkships are harder to come by since the firms have really thinned out those programs.

But I believe it is a safe bet that nowhere in the USA is the legal market great.

Yeah law students with no future! At least I'm a 1L with a chance for the economy to improve. My summer job will probably be reading AbovetheLaw and Bitter Lawyer and bemoaning my sad self.
