Slide on sandals with suport?

Say that 3 times fast. I've been walking around the house barefoot and need to save myself from injury... I can feel my arch aching after a long day. Any recommendations on comfy sandals with good support that you can wear around the house in the summer?

Birks! I wear mine around the house all the time and can really feel the difference in support. Love 'em

I live in my Chaco flip flops or Croc Mary Janes when I'm at home.

Born or Dansko. Both awesomely comfy. Borns are a bit cuter though....

If you WANT foot problems wear Crocs, otherwise stay away! I have been dealing with PF for about 2 years now, already had the surgery. The first thing I was told by many foot dr's, specialists.... was to ditch the crocs, they will only make the problem worse. Go with Birks you can't go wrong with them.

Yeah Danskos for sure. Though Birkenstocks have less of a heel and are more 'house shoe' oriented I think. Check out Zappos on the internet. Good return policy.

Last time I had orthotics made, I got three pairs: one for my running shoes, one for my cycling shoes, and one for my everyday shoes. The latter are thin, with less support than the others, but more than regular insoles. I throw them into a pair of these Keen shoes, which have removable insoles, and my feet are happy all day, even with my mild case of plantar fasciitis. I think these Keens have enough arch support without the orthotics, but you could probably also use a beefed-up over-the-counter insole (like Superfeet) for a little extra support.

I have your solution. Seriously, these are the absolute best sandals out there. Riders. I love these things. [I have no affiliation with the company, just found them through a couple running mags].

They have a number of different lines. Here is a specific line called "After Sport." They are built with high arch support and are specifically designed for ... well ... wearing after sports. They also have air holes in the sole to allow breathing. I have two pair of these and they are amazing. I wear one inside the house and one out.

Then, I saw some cool "flip flops" from their more stylish lines and figured, what the hell, I will give it a try. The stylish ones also have arch support. Absolutely amazing. Not as much as the after sport, but, they do offer shoe-like support to protect feet. (Obviously, you would look for the womens' models...)

Most of them run $25-38, so, they are priced well. Plus, here are some discount codes that MAY (but should) still work:

IOWA100807 for 50% off (yep, that's half price).

UTA100807 for 40% off

TWE100607 for 20% off

Your solution is Sole platinum sandals. These footbeds are moldable, it is the same footbed many people (including myself) in hiking and cycling shoes. http://www.solesandals.com/
