Here is the old bike, which had a nasty run-in with an automobile (with me on it) a mere four weeks before Oceanside.
Fortunately, Cervelo got me a replacement in only two weeks.

Hey Steve,
Just curious, what is considered a normal drop range, and then maybe a limit (for tri-fitting bikes)? I know there is a big range, and it depends on the person, but is there a # that once you go past, would be considered 'huge' or bigger than most? 6", 8"?
Thanks.

Jon,
I really have no idea. I am no fit expert. It's related to a lot of things - some anatomical, some to flexibility. ou' see a lot of range, even with people with the same height and build.
Could be a good forum thread on it's own.

Not exactly free. My homeowner's policy reimbursed me for the replacement cost and they are going after the driver, whose insurance company has already determined she was at fault.

That leetle spacer up on top there?
Its now underneath the stem, so a bit less drop.
Its really just that I am tall though, I'm not crazy bent over or anything

Very Nice ride! Is that a stock paint job or custom? Where did you get that bike? There are not alot of Treks around my area, so they are not to common to see. Same with the wheel cover did you design that or was it stock?
This is picky...but I hope you got some photos without the tools laying under the bike! ;-) Cool photo spot btw.
Cheers.

It is a custom paint job. The wheel cover was kind of a mess up. The decals were not put on correctly. The cover was supposed to look like an extension of the Aeolus 6.5 PT wheel. I gotta try again. There will be better alignment on the next application. I will be getting some outdoor shots today.
