Last Day Of Work
Today is my last day at the job I've had for 4.5 years. I am SOOOOOOO happy to be done here :)

I work in a satelite office, alone. I have NO work to do, haven't had any for the last day and half.

It's 4:23, my usual quitting time is 5.

I stupidly thought I might catch a break and get out of here at 4, you know, as a last day treat. NOPE, no, nada. NOPE.

This is just one of many reasons I hate this job.

No handshakes, no 'thanks for your work over the years', no 'have lunch on us today as a good bye'.

Yea, I know, I'm the one that quit but sheesh, have some decency to your staff. My job has already been filled, I have everything set up for the new girl and trained her this week. '

I'm outta here at 4:30. What are they gonna do fire me??! LOL, they would probably try, that's how crappy it is here.

Anyway, when you hate your job, don't stay at it any longer then you need as it can suck the joy out of your life!

Have a good weekend everyone!

I'm in the same situation. I hate my job and I'm looking very hard to find a new one that pays close to what I'm making now. I don't need an increase in salary. This one is sucking the life out of me as well. This company is about to walk the plank (hehehe, I could resist it today) and I don't want to be caught in the undertow.

Congrats for getting out! They can do anything they want to ya, but they can't stop the clock.
I'm getting out of my hell hole job in 2 weeks. Woohoo!! Big pay cut, but the end of soul sucking days is worth it. Will have to wait a couple of years to buy that 'cross bike I want though...

it's 6:30 now, hope you're out celebrating.

Do you have another job lined up, or plans? What's next?

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine

Oh my God, I thought I was the on;y one who felt their job was sucking the life out of them. It is so hard to make the break though. There is so much uncertainty...... but congrats for getting out. You will probably feel years younger!

Thanks everyone!

There was some giddyness happening when I walked out the door for the LAST time :)

Went out for a nice ride w/ my husband to celebrate.

I left for a job with 10 less hours/week and better hour schedule. We own a bike shop and still like the security of a steady paycheque as we've only been going for 3 years - 3 fantastic years but I like to eat, ya know?!

Looking forward to starting on monday!!
