Intro from the beautiful dry sunny PNW!!
Hello everyone!

My name is Rachel. I live in Duvall east of Seattle. This is my second season of tri's and I am targeting Lake Stevens 70.3 as my "A" race for the year. I am 34 and stay at home with my 5 kids. Husband is a Microsoft geek. I am 5'4" and 135 so constantly at war with the weight. I have enjoyed this forum and have been a lurker for a few month's now.

Glad to be here!

Second season here we go!

Well now. I live halfway between Duvall and Carnation and my husband is Microsoft too. I am a vendor there.

Are we twins?

I am up the hill from the round about so I am pretty close into Carnation as well. I swim at Idylwood a few mornings per week as well so I bet I have seen you around.

Sunny PNW you say? What's going on down there that isn't happening here in Van?

Awesome to have another on the list for Lake Stevens! Definitely going to be a strong ST contingent there :)

Hi Rachel,

I really hope it is dry and sunny in the PNW by Lake Stevens...it's now my next race! Welcome to the forum.

Welcome...though sunny???? Here in Seattle it is yet again grey and cold today. But it's not actually raining right now so that's a huge step in the right direction.

I have friends going up to Lake Stevens this weekend to swim/ride the course so I'll hear from them what the water temp is like and report back.

I was being SARCASTIC about the sun! I am as frustrated as all of you about our crappy weather! Ugh. The 10 day forcast is NOT pretty. I have my first Oly coming up in less than 3 weeks and of course Lake Stevens. It would be nice to ride the bike on a day when it wasn't either wet or cold or both!

Second season here we go!

Careful what you wish for - August came early this year for us. TWO MONTHS EARLY.

80F and 87% humidity start for our 6:30 am run on tuesday. No need to stop for water, just run with your mouth open and you can collect plenty to drink ;).

Personally, I am really looking forward to some cold water at IMCDA.
