I wasn't really sure where to post this since it deals with two or more different posts already.....so I thought I would just ask and see what happens....
Background:
I went off the birth control pill last July. I have had 3 cycles since, 35 days, 50 days and 38 days. My current cycle is on day 85 and counting. I've been doing the temping and tracking and went to see my doctor yesterday. She has requisitioned blood work and a pelvic ultrasound.
Ths point of my post:
Then this morning I'm reading an article about how a calcium supplment is really not necessary unless your period is absent. Something about your hormones being out of whack and your body starting to eat away at your bones....I haven't been taking a calcium supplement, my doctor didn't mention anything and I didn't even think to ask.....any advice? Should I add it in? I currently take folic acid (since I am hoping to get pregnant) and vitamin C or Cold FX if I feel run down.
Is there anything else I should be aware of or concerned about. My doc has told me to stop temping and just wait until test results are back....ie. take it easy/stress free.
I do not have a low body fat% and I train between 8-10 hours/week but without really a goal race since I am hoping to eventually become pregnant...so really I train to be social and keep my sanity :)
