3500??? I think there were 5000+ in that race. Accenture has even more with 7000 I believe.

And then go for a swim - and then run a mile to transition.
OK, so maybe not, but it felt that way! Great race to have as your local, I loved it this year.

For the bike course? Its always from north or south (generally) so 2 times head wind 2 times tail wind. Wind is not a big deal I love it, it is the pot holes you should worry.

Do you get to run past the church's chicken downtown there to pick up some fried chicken while you are running?

It seems like that would match your dietary needs :)

Yes - I second that. I launched a bottle, out of a cage from my frame, on LSD (that would be the drive, not the drug, stoners.) Never had that happen before. Had to dodge a ton of stuff on the course from other's cages/bentos whatever. Wind wasn't a big factor last year, slight head, slight tail.

Another Scott Plasma Team Edition for you. I have updated this machine from what the picture shows with Easton Attack bars, SRAM brake levers, Zipp disc in rear, as well as an FSA MegaExo crank. Total weight of the machine including everything is just shy of 16.5 pounds.

looks like a similar setup to the specialized above, do you know where the 1.5lb difference comes from?

18 lbs is too heavy, either that specialized is a heavy bike or the guy who is holding the bike is adding some weight.
