What came out of my P2-frame #thething

Some weird thing came out of my 2011 Cervelo P2 frame. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? I discovered and removed it while renewing the cables through the frame, but Houston do we still have a problem here?

I bought the bike new and assembled. Somehow ‘the thing’ must have been there all the time and I only noticed it after it must have broken off on the inside of the frame. It looks and feels like hard plastic. Maybe hardened glue or epoxy resin. One side is 100 % flat, the other as can be seen on the picture

Ideas and suggestions are very welcome solving the mystery.

Next race probably St. Anthony’s in St. Pete’s

The mold used to build up the carbon in a frame tube?

Bladder

Here I was expecting a pic of a small bolt or peice of plastic. That’s another little bike

Not sure what it is but you just saved yourself some grams. Free speed!

Yup, that’s part of the bladder used in the moulding process. On higher end bikes they usually take the extra time to remove all of it to save every last gram; on a more intro level bike like the P2, not so much.

It’s not structural in any way, so as has been mentioned you just saved some weight.

I think your P2 absorbed its twin while they were in the womb. You hear about that happening sometimes.

Yes! That happened to Tyler Hamilton. I would suggest that your P2 should avoid any doping tests.

chapeau!
