We got about a foot of fresh snow in the past two days here, and the roads were completely covered. Missed yesterday, but opted to take out my project Jeep car. It ran like a champ, 4 wheel low all the way out until I got into town. Only one other guy at the pool so nice and smooth, 86 degrees in the water:

My PT, who has a DPT and is a triathlete and knows swimming, thinks my shoulder pain is biceps tendonitis. This PT over zoom because I wanted a swim specialist. He wants me to do 1000m per session, not 3 days in a row as I was doing, and half of it fist drill. Plus I have exercises and stuff.

Sat - 33.6 mi bike
Sun - 7.7 mi run (59 min @ 6.7 mph), lower body lift
Mon - 1000m swim, 7.9 mi run (74:57, all but first .2 @ 9:22/mi and picked it up a little the last 2 min)

swim was
2 x 200 on 3:30
100 on 1:45
100 fist drill
2 x 200 fist drill

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

Good luck with your shoulder, did not know it had flared up again. Pool was super hot today, but had yesterday off so felt pretty good getting in the hot tub.

So looking at the kicking thread and I had an epiphany, and I'm going to do some mostly all kick days. My pacemaker is messing me up for distance stuff, I'm beating about 20 beats higher than normal, so just get gassed quickly and need a lot more rest. Not that I cannot put together good 50's and 100's, but I fear in racing now that it will force me to become more of a sprinter. SO 1000 free and 400IM and probably 200 fly are going to be real challenges. SO I figure if I can become a monster kicker, perhaps I can be competitive in some 100's rather than 200's, and maybe even a 50 fly. Wont score as many points as my good distance events, but then I may not even be able to race those that well anymore anyway. So some time for experimentation, so kicking it is!!!!

Good luck with your shoulder. Smart to find a practitioner who understands what you are doing and how to get you back to where you want to be.

AM 5000 yards with LOTS of drills plus a mainset of 16 x 125 threshold effort

PM 3000 yards of easy swimming and drills

Wasn't sure what to do today, so talked dan into doing an abbreviated birthday set with me. 67x50's with every 4th stroke, was kind of fun:

67x50 as 3 buoy/pull@;50/1stroke@1;00--buoys(40/39's)pulls(36+'s)back(43/42/41/40)brst(44/44/43/43)fly(40/38/39/39)free(37/35+34+/34)
150 kick
