Barring an actual medical/injury/nerve issue it's likely going to be either wrong shoes for you, poorly fitting shoes, or too tight laces.

Is this a recent thing or always been an issue?

Any chance it's Morton's Neuroma ?

One of buddies had / sometimes had this and gets numb toes / back of his foot.

(Note I'm not a doctor)

I had a Morton’s neuroma and it was horrible, required surgery and can still potentially come back. Thankfully it’s almost always between the 3rd and 4th toe (opposite of big toe), or sometimes 2nd and 3rd, but in any case the big toe’s nerve shouldn’t be affected.

Could still be another overuse or morphology type issue though, I’d consider going in to a doctor or PT to get it checked out because I’ve learned foot issues are nothing to mess with.

Need more info. Does it go away as soon as you’re done running? Does it happen only when running? Is it entire toe? Just the top, just the inside or outside? Are both your feet same size or width? Do you pronate more on one side? Any changes in routine outside of running? Do you have a bunion on that side? Did it start soon after new pair of shoes? Any issues with back? In other words go see a good sports medicine oriented podiatrist or orthopod who will ask similar questions to diagnose the problem.
