it is a wilderness - it's the Enchantments, in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Fantastic spot with amazing views from any area.

That view is looking across to Aasgard Pass (Colchuck Pass, if you prefer. I do not), which is a bitch of a climb into the 'Core' Enchantments

We discovered a new and beautiful lake for open water swimming. Clean and clear. We swam between the rain showers. Magical. It's a 28 min drive from my house but worth it. We are looking out for a small plot of land on this lake. It only has a handful of cabins. The backside is wilderness and not developed.
