My two cents worth are...They make wonderful wedding presents and 10x and above are pretty hard to hand hold. On water very hard to hand hold.

When I used to work on fishing boats we used Fujinon Marine binoculars for finding birds. At that time we didn't have the ones with image stabilization, but now some of them do, and they are awesome. They have so any models available, but here is an informative video that may help your decision...
