They must really like that wine

I saw someone purchase 48 litres (that’s almost 13 liquid freedoms) of the same wine today.

Wouldn’t you get sick of drinking the same wine?

I asked him if he had a big party. Nope. “I am just stocking up so I don’t have to come back for a while”.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.

How does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?

Bottles, boxes, or 5 Freedom buckets?

Which raises a question - how big are your 5 gallon bucket equivalents?

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

Not so strange. My partner returns to one preferred wine about 60%+ of the time.

She doesn't drink much, but I still buy that wine a couple of cases (36 litres) at a time. She has specially marked wine racks for them. (Friends always comment "nice rack" when they see that).

I buy a lot of wine at online auction. Often there are entire pallet lots that sell amazingly inexpensively; usually mixed lots, but with a preponderance of one or two wines. I have narrowly missed out on a few. I do like a bargain, and a drink, but I did also wonder if I really wanted almost 1000 bottles of the same wine.

Each box he was carrying said 16 litres. I am guessing that there were four 4 litre boxes in each box.

I buy my "go to" bourbon by the case. I get about 10% off. Well worth it.

Same employer for 25+ years
Same wife for 20+ years
Same bourbon for 15 + years.
Same truck for 15 + years
Same hobby 20+ years

New dogs, but that was just bad health with my last one......

Some people don't like change..

I suspect that his wine is not mighty fine.

We do the brew by you thing because its a lot cheaper. .Usually get 24 bottles or so per batch. We usually do up a batch of red and a batch of white at the same time. That's 48 bottles which lasts a long time. We notice it gets better as it ages. Its basically the quality of restaurant "house wine" which is fine for every day table wine, but for special occasions we'll splurge and buy higher end at the liquor store. My brother is partially to a certain brand Spanish red wine. He buys it by the case as its cheaper than buying individual.

I once saw a bodega in Spain where they had a barrel of wine with a tap. You just bring in your own vessel of any size and fill up. It’s the green thing to do!

But if they bought the same quantity of Scotch would that be OK?
