Why do I suck so bad at pacing Oly. I'm good on sprint ad 70.3 but something about the Oly I just can't get right... Either override the bike or run too fast in the 1st 5k or use up too much energy in the swim...

Olympic Distance is FAST, but for an age grouper, pacing can be on a knife edge and doesn't take much to ruin your pace. My guesses would be surges on the bike rather than a constant effort and/or too fast in the first 2km of the run.
How long do you take and what nutrition do you consume?
