I have been getting eaten alive by Chiggers and I just found out that they've been in my vehicle, so they've been attaching themselves to my clothes while I drive to work. I am apprehensive about releasing a bug bomb and not even sure if that'll work for chiggers. Also, I have leather seats, so I don't want to ruin the upholstery. Another option I consider was getting the car detailed with the carpets and seats shampooed and dressed. Any other thoughts?? Thanks!

How in the Wide Wide World of Sports did you get chiggers in your car?

I’m not sure. Only thing I can think of is that they attached to my pant leg are some point and then they jumped off when I got in the car. Just got the vehicle detailed so I’m hoping that does it. Currently re washing all my clothes.

That must be a regional thing. Folks in these parts don't generally have their cars infested with insects. I'm happy to say I've never seen a chigger.
Best of luck to you with that.

I would sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the carpet, maybe the upholstery and vacuum it out a couple weeks later.

How new is your car? Normally pretty much everything dies in a newish car if you keep it closed up in the sun for a day and interior temps exceed 120F for several hours.
Leather may throw a wrench into that approach, as part of the trick is the release of pesticides and insecticides from cloth upholstery.
.
If you don't live in an area where it is hot enough to get your car to 120 degrees or more, chiggers will die once it gets below about 42.
Suffer Well.
