Sorry I missed the earlier post.

Some of our customers have had luck using adapters like this.

I can't confirm this will work with all racks, would love to hear results if you try it.

I can confirm that the Yakima 12 x 100 fork adapter works on the roof rack as long as the rack has a hole in the center.
I use this rack Yakima Highspeed Bike Rack https://www.amazon.com/..._api_i_coIzCbP1QKZT5

Any other working solutions for the roof rack?

Anybody has a photo of their Andean racked?

I am THULE fan and never used Yakima products before.

Thule makes an equivalent adapter, but as mentioned in an earlier post, you will likely need to be using a rack that does not have a continuous "beam" section connecting the front and rear elements, otherwise the downtube of the Andean will make contact with the rack "beam." There are workarounds for this, but they will vary based on your particular rack.

Sorry, no pictures!

I have an old photo from last year's Nationals of the Custom Andean Bike bag half way assembled. After a few flights with the rack the front fork mount is tearing off at the base. So I need to figure out if it can be welded back or some custom solution. I wonder if Diamondback has any parts from that bag in stock?

Quick update:

fredly from Diamondback got in touch with me last week and now I have a working bag again! He went above and beyond to take care of the issue. What an awesome customer service!

Thank you!

I'll post more pictures of the bag and bike assembly / disassembly in a couple of week so that everyone gets an idea of how the Andean custom bike bag works.

Would like to see how you pack everything up with the diamondback bag. I bought one with mine and haven’t used it yet but will be flying soon. Would like to see what you found was best for packing and filling the airbags.

Well decided to do a test fit of the bike how I think it should go and worked out. Looks like with my saddle height I can leave it in place even.

So Ive desided after a trip with my Andean in a evoc bag, that I did’nt want to disasemble it every time I went on a trip.. After all thats why i bought a Scicon case for my previous bike..

I sold my old Scicon bag and bought a new one that was delivered ready for through Axels..

So now my problem was the frame hitting the case frame. Ive solved this by welding an extender for the front.

As such I only took my pedals, my rear deraliour, chain, and discs off.

For some reasons the photo’s did’nt come along, so I’ve added them here..
On the trip out, I had removed my arm cubs as Well, but did’nt on the trip home.

Its this one:

Ive welded the new addon to the front, that I can take off, and made a pipe for the rear end, to extend, cause the one that came along were to Big in diameter.

Hi all, I took a few photos more, perhaps it helps.

The back cylinder is the the one that the bags were delivered with, but its to Big in outer diameter. So You have to make a smaller one of that.

So shoppinglist
1) A Round tube, that your axcel can go trough, cut it in 2, so you get the small extender to rear end as Well.
2) a pice of metal to extend the front end up in the air.
3) 2 screws to fasten the new extender to the current one in the front end.
4) a welder to weld the tube and the metal extender together.
