Hip rotation??? WHAT???
what is this rip rotation that everyone is talking about in regards to positioning on the bike? ie, dennis's fit tom and cerveloguy told him to rotate his hips.

How do you do this, what are you trying to achieve? Im not sure what you guys mean by this comment, (i think someone told me to do this as well)

Just looking for some info :)
Thanks guys,

kevin. this term refers to the angle at which your pelvis is relative to the ground. note that your pelvis is shaped like a bowl, or cup. when properly rotated on a bike this cup is tipped forward. think of the spine, which is at the rear of the bowl as shooting forward from its base, as opposed to going up and then forward. or do this: seated at your computer reach forward with your arms as if you are on a bike. this is NOT pelvic rotation. now, first reach way down to the floor, you must scoot your butt back a bit and roll it forward - leaving your pelvis where it now is lift your arms back up to the same spot they were in the first exercise. this IS pelvic rotation. note how, while the hands are in the same spot your body's attitude and position is markedly different.
