I can't claim to speak for BLeP, but for those of you who didn't grow up in North America, here's my attempt to translate, along with correct opinions:

PB-peanut butter
PBR-Pabst Blue Ribbon (disgusting, but I'll drink it and complain between chugs)

B-banana
H-honey
J-jelly
M-marshmallow fluff (disgusting, only suitable for ignorant children)
N-Nutella (disgusting but occasionally allowable)
V-Vegemite (beyond disgusting, leave it to the Aussies to come up with something truly horrifying)

I was not figuring out B, H, and certainly not V.

In that case BLeP is all sorts of wrong. PB & H is first. But not as a sandwich, on toast or an english muffin for breakfast.

I can make the conversation gross. As a kid I always like PB & J & B. Except that B was bologna. Kind of turns my stomach to think about it now.

I'm not a Nutella guy, but I always thought you used it instead of PB, not with.

PB&J simply reigns supreme. It's the basis by which all other PB sandwiches are judged. PB&Jw/PC is a sanctioned modification to the standard.

PB&H can be a suitable alternative to PB&J on occasion, but not as an everyday substitute.

PB&B is not my thing, but also acceptable.

PB&V is just gross, PB&M is a child's treat, and PB&N isn't a sandwich,...it's dessert.

Of course, we neglected to mention the poor man's sandwich,....the PB&Nothing.

And no one seems to have addressed whether these sandwiches are suitably prepared using PB(c) or PB(s).

When I was a kid, one of my grandparents (I only have vague memories of this) would make PB&A&R. Applesauce and Raisins.

I also love PB&H. I really love honey and PB&H is a great honey delivery system.

Speaking of pre-mixing, when I was a kid, this was a treat.



Which probably explains why I am the way I am now. sigh.

The key to the PB&H is to make it in the morning and eat it at lunch. That way the honey soaks into the bread a little bit and the sandwich develops a lovely texture. Although I'm not sure if this works properly once you add banana. Some experimentation may be required!

I remember when I was a kid and Goober Grape became a thing. It seemed like only the rich kids got the Goober. All us poor losers still had to get peanut butter and jelly from separate jars.

I didn't find out until later that it was first introduced in the late 60s.

Only problem with your assertion is that she's a little kiwi. She loves Vegemite sandwiches and whatnot, and having her learn the hard way that PB&V is an abomination is lower friction than denying her said abomination and dealing with the meltdown.
