WTB: 9 speed parts, tires, SPD Sl cleats
I haven't done a tri in over 15 years and I recently bought an old Cervelo p2 SL as a "project" bike where I anticipate getting it into rideable shape. As I spent a whopping $100 on the bike and am not sure how much use it will get, I want to try and fix it up on the cheap. There are some must have items I need and some other items that I certainly wouldn't mind upgrading. If you have some 9 speed stuff in decent shape (can be used or new) gathering dust in your garage, let me know if you want to part with it.

Specifically looking for:

9 speed chain
Shimano SPD SL cleats (yellow ones)
Tires 700 x 23

Other items I could possibly use:

Brake calipers
Cranks
Vision aerobar pads

Do you have a bunch of 9 spd stuff already? If not, 10 speed might be worth going for. I have 10 SPD cassettes.

And, I do have tires too. Not great ones with regard to watt saving, but I have some that are bontrager hardcase. They have been bombproof.

If you want them and or 10 SPD cassettes let me know. I'm not sure of price for cassette(s) bit tires will be cheap. Shipping might be more as they are heavier. PM if you want
I can send pics if you give me your cell or email

Yeah, I have most everything for the 9 speed group but a new chain and they are out at my local shop. I imagine I can find one online, I just hoped someone may have moved on to 10 or 11 speed and might have squirreled away a 9 speed chain in their parts bin. Same with the tires. I’m now tubeless on all my bikes and have wider tires. Didn’t have any old 700x23 clinchers still in my garage. I’ll probably end up buying new tires and chain and spend more than I did for the bike :)

I use 10 speed chains on all my 9 speed setups. Better engineered and more flexible.
