I would try and find a pair you can try on. I got a pair last year and was extremely excited to give them a try. After heat molding 5 times and trying them for 6 months I couldn't get comfortable in them. From what I have heard, you either love them or hate them. I recently just sold them and moved onto the Giro Empire SLX and best decision I have made.
My experience as well, both with this model and other bonts.
They are really nice quality, nice to look at, but painfully hard, and you can't always fit a good insole in them as it can take up too much volume. The stock insole is paper thin.
Also, bonts in general, the heat molding IMHO is kind of bogus. If they aren't pretty comfy out of the box, then the slight amount you can adjust the upper with the heat molding isn't going to make much difference. And the sole, of course, can't be molded, it is a rock solid tub, it is what it is.
And, not that it really matters, but I just assumed they'd be light. But the 45 Zero's were essentially the same weight as my old Shimano TR-60 tri shoes.
