Hey, everyone!
Dr_C, sorry to hear about your hormone levels (and thanks for your thoughts in last week's thread). I'm happy to hear you were able to dial it back to have an enjoyable long run and ride. Hopefully you continue to feel better and have a great race!
Scheherazade, that does sound exhausting and I'm impressed you only missed one workout. Hopefully you spent some good quality time with your grandmother.
YoMoGo, congrats!!!!!!!!! Also congrats on your first place finish =) and rock these last few training weeks before the big day.
Dr. T, hope your SI joint is feeling better and you are getting in more quality miles!
SoCal, wow, what an exciting couple of weeks! Awesome ride adventure and I'm sure you will be a great guide. What a rewarding experience.
GN, sorry to hear about you being tired and dehydrated, but I'm glad you were able to adapt and not push through anything that made you sick. Resting is also important!
It wasn't a great week but a good week. Two trainer rides and an outdoor ride, not as long as I would have liked but still enjoyable. Runs were good, I bumped them up to 3:30/1:30 run/walk and managed one easy, one "fast" (pushing slightly harder on the run portions) and one "long" (five run intervals instead of my usual four), but at least I feel like I'm making progress. I only did one weights video and one short PT session, sadly. I felt that weights video in my quads for DAYS which was not reassuring at the time but funny in retrospect.
It's supposed to be beastly hot with thunderstorms these next few days so I might have to shift some running around to make it work. If I can't run and don't want to get on the treadmill, maybe it'll inspire me to do lift more weights and do all my PT inside in the AC. =)
Hope you ladies are off to a good week.
