Back issue due to aero position???
I did my first outdoor ride of the year on Thursday - 60 miles in aero. I have done a bunch of longer rides (up to 4 hours so far) on my trainer, but not much time in the aero position. I have logged 2800 trainer miles so far this year, so quite a bit of biking time. By the end of the ride my neck did hurt a little bit, but yesterday and now today it's my upper back that really hurts. I didn't start my run this morning because my back hurts so much. I'm worried this is more than a muscle thing and some sort of back injury. Anyone had an issue like this that didn't resolve? It's only been around 36 hours since the outdoor bike ride, but I'm worried about how this plays out.

Was it windy? I've had some muscle stiffness in the back after riding aero on windy days, guess those muscles are working a lot to stabilise things.

It could also be as simple as that you have a rib stuck. Do you have a chiropractor?
