I grew up in Wayne, but have not lived there in a long time. Not sure exactly in Wayne where you will be -it's big and pretty crowded. Its primarily running on sidewalks in a suburb. If you want to drive places not too far depending on where in Wayne you are, you could go to Garrett Mountain in Paterson - that is where cross-country teams run. Or do some trail running at Ramapo Reservation in Mahwah. It's ok there. If you drive 20 minutes further than that, you can go to Harriman State Park which is really good for running / biking / hiking.
