Stages Cycling Power Cranks are built by cyclists, for cyclists. Normally used by the Pros, Stages power meters have started to bring power based-training to those on a budget. With a simple and robust design, the Stages system will discreetly measure power without being obtrusive or adding excessive weight.

I have read and heard about more issues with the Stages power meters than any others. I recommend staying away from them.

The point is, don't compromise by taking some other option. Find a 175 Spec crank with it's power sensor - just like you linked. I have seen some people on other forums, like the Facebook on-line bike swap forum, wanting to trade their 175's for 172. But I don't remember them being the power version. Its a pretty new crank since Spec only recently introduced it.

Oh I see, thanks dude! Yeah I replied to stage person because I didn’t get his point. Mine was taken off from a complete bike, I don’t like the length but wanting to give this specialized name brand powermeter a try, I’ve heard mixed reviews about stage so I tend to stay away from it, although it’s hard to go from SRM to stage ;)
