I don't know if this has been discussed yet. I have seen these new wetsuits for swimrun races. Not quite sure why you would need a different kind of wetsuit for swimrun. Anyone know what the differences are? All the races I have done I see people using tri wetsuits.

SwimRun wetsuits have front zippers so you can unzip it during the runs to take some pressure off your chest to breathe easier. This also helps keep you cooler on the runs.
The material is reinforced in some areas to withstand the rough treatment sometimes seen on the run, such as rock scrambling, through thick forests and the abrasion in areas that rub while running.
Many also have pockets either on the inside, outside, or both to carry nutrition, first aid kit and other essentials.

Among other things, the thickness and material is different from a tri wetsuit enabling you to run much easier.
