i'm going to give you guys another shot at this, because i don't think you're getting the memo! if - and only if - you sign up for our SLOWTWITCH CIRC DRIVE (look to the right hand side of the page) do you get emails that offer you really screaming deals. so, those who wanted sew-up tires at 60 percent off. or who wanted a leading $1,200 direct drive smart trainer for less than the leading $800 trainer, or wetsuits for 75 percent off, or continental bike tubes for two-thirds off, water bottles for half off, and so forth, you had to sign up for the circ drive (which, when you do, by the way, makes you eligible also for a lot of free raffle stuff too).

we're about ready to end one circ drive and begin another. just, as a coda to the last few days of THIS circ drive, where we'll pick raffle winners, etc., we have a special for those who want pedal-based power meters. if you want that special, sign up for the circ drive.

I keep seeing messages like this basically saying people are missing the boat. I signed up I think about two weeks ago and the only email I've ever received is the June 25, 2018 Slowtwitch Weekly Newsletter. And yes, I did check my junk folder and added slowtwitch as an approved sender.

you should have received an email about:

wetsuits

bicycle tubes
tubular tires

there is another email coming, centered around about a power meter opportunity. i started a thread about tubular tires, and about 60 people responded (folks who're still riding tubies). then i sent out the email, during which i offered $130 conti competitions for $60. so, during circ drive time, when i start a thread, pretty good bet it's not just to discuss it!

i checked, and all you guys who say you're not getting emails are on the list. and, when i send out these emails i'm immediately barraged with replies. so, i don't know what to tell you. except this: that i'll post HERE when i send out an email, specifically to YOU, so that you get an email notification if you do NOT receive that email. and then we'll troubleshoot what's happening.

I assumed that to be the case, but I'm not sure why they never come through. What email address do they come from? I'll try specifically whitelisting it and see if that makes a difference.

I have the same issue. I get the newsletters, but that's all. Other circ-drive emails aren't even getting to my spam folder. Is something about the format that's causing yahoo to squelch them before they even get to that decision point? You can say the problem's on our end, and technically it is, but if there's something about the way the emails are structured that's keeping them from even getting to many people's spambox, that's not good for you, either.

Dan,

The problem I had was that when I attempted to sign up during the circ drive I was told I was already registered. I assumed that meant I was GTG and would get the deal emails, however I like others who have replied on this tread I was not received anything other than the standard weekly updates.

I wonder if all these people, like me, have Gmail accounts. I also seem to recieve only the newsletter both in my IMAP server and in the browser version of gmail, HOWEVER, if I search slowtwitch in my inbox of the browser version it somehow reveals the hidden Circ-Drive emails.

No, I have the same problem with Yahoo. I just checked my SPAM folder and did a pretty intrusive search for the terms "Slowtwitch" and "Empfield."

I get the weekly newsletters, and got one wetsuit email.

Bummer. Missed out on a tubular deal apparently, and I'd be seriously interested in this Pedal-based PM deal.

Add me to the list of people who have received all of the emails since when I signed up in 2016, however I have not received any of the "deal" emails. I even received the email last year about the live streaming of the Norseman triathlon on Slowtwitch. Nothing in my Junk/Spam folders.

one thing you just signed up for was to post on our reader forum. that's great. welcome. but to get the email, you need to sign up for our SLOWTWITCH CIRC DRIVE and realize that in so doing you're signing up to be a part of the xterra wetsuits and saris (powertap, cycleops) communities too. and you can unsubscribe from any of these at any time. those letters, in red bold, you'll see them on most slowtwitch pages at the right.

you should see an email tomorrow morning most likely, or the day after at the latest.

I noticed when I signed up, I never got a welcome email or confirmation email. If there was no confirmation email, then you are sending a single optin list, or direct from your email provider.

In any case, with single optin, a lot of your emails will not be sent. And... You will not know which ones were delivered and which weren't. That makes sense why some people aren't receiving the email.

I was experiencing this as well. I knew I received an email that had "circ drive" in it, but searching Gmail showed nothing with "circ drive". So I Goggled it.

If you are using the Gmail Inbox, and maybe in regular Gmail, you have to TELL IT to include the Trash or Spam folders. In Google Inbox you type "slowman in:trash" or "slowman in:spam". Two showed up with those parameters.

Dan, I should get an extra discount for troubleshooting this!

I'm closer to the feathered end of the spear than the point.

I get the newsletter in my inbox. I had to search my junk and spam folder for “Dan Empfield” to locate the circ email. I use Hotmail for what it’s worth.

So im interested in a pedal based power meter. My house was broken into last year and bikes stolen. I also had a bad car accident that totaled my car and while i was in the hospital and the car was in the wrecking yard, stuff was stolen out of it. Bike gear...including a new to me power meter I was going to have put on a bike. I’ve also been crazy injured and had my second PRP injection in my Achilles on Friday. I’m 1000% sure it will work and i can start riding in about a month.

I did receive the email and that’s why I came to slowtwitch today.

it's not supposed to be automatic. this is a lo-tech operation. sometime in the next few days you'll get an email with offers.

Ah, I get it. each criq drive is independent so even if you signed up on a previous one, you would not receive anything from the current one. You have to submit for each one independently. You probably said that somewhere too and I didn't pay attention I bet.
