as there is a lot of interest in this, i thought i'd clear some things up. along with this thread i'll probably lock one or two others and, as you've had plenty of time to mourn the folks who used to be here and are no longer, i'll ask you not to characterize them.

the people who are not a good fit for this forum are those for whom insult, shock and offense are a tactic, an operating principle, rather than an occasional result. if you would rather knife your lavender room brothers (even those with whom you disagree) than exchange ideas with them, at a certain point there will probably be friction. beyond this...

if you go postal upon finding out someone's been banned, and you post that this place has gone to hell, or something like that, i'm prone to get low and petty. i don't know why, i haven't analyzed it, but i don't mind if you insult me. what really irks me is when you insult this community.

so there you go. it would be nice if we could leave moderation behind and get onto talking about how trump has lifted the economy to new heights and unshackled the engines of commerce, or about how he's a creep and a liar. or both. or none. or about how the AR 92 can shoot 45 rounds a second.

Well, my friend, he is just trying to bring the economy to the same height as his majestic orange locks. The market should hit 37,000 if he hits his goal. And a new era of LR bloviation will be ushered in.

I predicted he would have been picked up by week 4-5 due to an injury of whatever starting QB. Surprised he wasn't. But, then again, I only watch football now and then, those guys that play and coach, they know the game better than I.

Yeah. I'm in the panhandle which is in the Central time zone as opposed to most of the rest of the state which is in Eastern - so it is just after midnight here. But, it is late and I'm calling it a night.

UA seems to have a thing about posting about KL. I find it odd and pointed it out; only to be met by strong denials.

I'm sure the crack about KL being as a moderator was another simple misunderstanding on my part. Whatever. I'm outta' this thread. CWOT.

As an observation on the dearly departed; one could be excessively blunt and one was almost always a provocateur

One, in my experience, was more helpful to me than the other.

I have been here since this was established. I have seen self imposed exile (AJFranke and BK) and a handful of firings

What recently got my goat was not in here and has been addressed but I genuinely treat this place the same way I have always treated work. I could be fired on any given day and I broadly try to behave in a way that makes that unlikely.

I do not have a problem with people being offensive. I suspect the limits of one person's rights to free speech (in my view) end with another's right to feel safe. Up to that point I am fairly open minded.

As an aside, I looked you up yesterday. I spent a good 30 minutes on Saffron's site looking at the porn. As I will likely be in London this year it might make sense. Damn you.
