Foot surgery
Im having a small fibrous tumor removed from just above my ankle bone. My doc says no getting it wet for 5 to 6 weeks which means no swimming. I was wanting to known if anyone has any ideas on how to keep my foot dry while swimming. I looked at the neoprene swim socks but didn't know if that would keep my foot dry or not. Ive been swimming 5 days a week all winter and i feel like i will lose everything i gained taking that much time off. If I have to i will just looking for other options. Thx mike

If just a soft tissue mass being removed your incision should be healed in 2 weeks at most and should be able to swim then. I haven't found a bandage protector that keeps foot dry in pool, are several that work in shower but won't hold up to the pool.

Don't know the situation, but 5-6 weeks to keep an incision from getting wet is WAY conservative. 2 weeks and usually good. 3 if you want to be careful.

Is the "tumor" just superficial (i.e. just under the skin) or deeper off the ankle/tendon?
