Silverman, Lake Stevens or SuperFrog?

Need to fit one more half into my schedule this year.. Can't decide... Which one would you all do? These 3 fit me geographically.

I'm signed up for Superfrog. About an hour from me. Also, it's not an Mdot race. If you care about that or not.

Ya I kinda only like WTC and ITU events... And the bike course for the frogs is pretty boring! Hard to decide.

Only reason I'm considering frogs is because it's 10 min drive.

It is flat and not much to look at, but then, most races for me aren't much to look at. 10 min from my house, I wouldn't even be asking this question. But, it's always good to have options.

I did Lake Stevens last year. The swim course has a line/string that you can follow and swim straight. The bike course is tough...the thing I didn't like about it was the multiple 90-deg turns at T intersections at the bottom of hills. The 2-lap run course is OK. Part of it is along the lake. I did this race because my wife wanted to visit her mother who lives up that way. It's not the most convenient place for travel/lodging.

I haven't raced Silverman, but I have raced both Lake Stevens and SuperFrog a few times.

Both races are tough, but very well organized.

SuperFrog is super low key local race feel. Be prepared for big surf on the swim. This race is an open water swimmers dream race (as are almost all San Diego area races). The bike is boring but will have a tail wind one way and a head wind possibly both ways (not sure how, but it happens on the strand). The run. Well... It's on the beach to say the least, and not all in the hardpack sand. If this isn't one of the hardest runs in the sport, I don't know what at this distance is harder. I'd do this race again in a heartbeat.

Lake Stevens is also a low key race with a fast swim. The bike course is tough as mentioned above, and each time I've raced there it has been a wet road from either rain or mist. That made for interesting conditions with all of the turns. Still an awesome course. The run course isn't "hilly" per se, but it's not flat by any means. Another fast course. This race has less than 1000 athletes each year (I think) and yet they still put on a great race! Be aware that there aren't a lot of places to stay within 15 miles of the race, but plenty of hotels are around there.

Just my thoughts. Can't go wrong on those two. You'll save $$$ racing SF.
