"Best" bunion device
My husband has a really bad one that is getting worse. He went to a foot doctor to discuss getting it fixed with surgery. He is not an athlete & needs t ohave his hip replaced. Has decided for now against doing the bunion surgery due to long recovery time in a boot that would interfere with his job that requires lot of travel.

There are a few devices for bunions like splits, between the toes or booties. Curious what others have used & consider the "best" until surgery or avoiding it all together.

Thanks,

Barb

Orthotics inside all of my shoes ( I call it a foot bra) to support my foot has prevented me from needing bunion surgery. My Dad and little sister did nothing and both have what I describe as hideously deformed feet. I, on the other hand, run almost daily and my inherited bunions are only barely visible.

I've only researched it and people have posted great results. Some of the stuff I've found:

https://nwfootankle.com/correct-toes (there are cheaper versions to this... look up toe separators)

Using Vibram Five Fingers as much as possible
Wearing shoes with a wide toe box

Keep us updated.

If my body isn't strong enough... I hope my wallet will be.

I think Bunion Booties are the best, although pricey. They are so comfortable and can be worn in any shoe. The other separators are just downright uncomfortable, if not painful I've found. Good luck!
