Hey everyone,
Ill give you a little info on who i am and why i am posting this.

So i am a year 20 old university student in Toronto attending Ryerson University. I am studying Finance with a minor in Accounting but my heart is truly with sports and fitness.
I have a competitive swimming background but due to the fact that my University does not have a varsity team I went the route of 'body building'....never again.
Early last year(may 2011) I signed up for my first triathlon. Clicking submit and confirm to my payments I felt as though all the competitive fires were re ignited and I could not be happier.
In July i had my first race which was an Olympic distance Tri in Muskoka. I did pretty well! I was third in my age group and 41st overall...lets just say i was hooked
I then went home and signed up for the Half Ironman in Muskoka at the end of the summer and sent an email to the head of the athletic facility at Ryerson with a lofty idea:

I wanted to share the joy i had training and racing with others in the university and surrounding area so that we could race, train, and promote the sport

After some emails were exchanged, I was now the coach/ supervisor of the Ryerson Triathlon Club!
We are now just six months since its inception with close to 30 people who are training with us and two more coaches(running, and strength training) helping them in those areas i do not have expertise in. We hold group spins, group runs and weekly swims in which members can come in and push themselves to achieve their personal goals.

So i am writing in this forum because i want to raise awareness of the club. We can use every single bit of publicity and support.
My dream is that the club grows to include all members of society, from those who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle to those who want to be competitive.

please help me promote the club

Kudos for the initiative and persistence, increasing awareness to the sport benefits everyone involved and starting a new club is like planting yet another little seed.
Good luck
