When I was going to do my first Ironman, my best friend bought me a card that had this on the front:

“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!”

Will never forget that.

I had the same reaction Mistress K had; you advertise a company that makes t-shirts with quotes, and then ask for them? As forum use is usually anonymous, it's perfectly reasonable to be on guard when it comes to giving a stranger original ideas, especially when this stranger presumably has an easy way to market them for a profit.

Please note Emilio's post about feedback about his products. There is a civilized way to do this, and then there is shameless promotion and fishing for ideas. You came across as the latter with your post, regardless whether or not this was your intention. Sorry.

While the tri forum can be vicious, this forum is rarely ever hostile and/or snide. Most posts aim to be helpful and supportive.

I had the same thought at first. I then checked the OPs profile and prior posts, and realized that it could be what I suspected or completely the opposite. So I elected to not reply.

It's tough to read motives, particularly when there's someone's commercial venture possibly involved. Many STers who have such ventures clearly note them in their sig lines - you (OP) might want to be clearer about that...

i will fully admit to having had a couple of crankypants days, and this looked awfully suspect. i apologise to the OP for my apparently incorrect assumption - we've had about 1 "covert" spammer per week lately in the womens, so my hackles come up easily.
