FWIW - AmZof run course is probably 70% carriage roads/10% fields/20% singletrack.
And of that 20% thatâs singletrack, youâre going UP for probably 15% (the 3 big run climbs are all trails), and only flat/down for the other 5%.
So, that fear of âIâm careening thru the woods and Iâm going to trip and eat itâ is confined to 5% of the run course.
If the hills were paved, theyâd still suck, because they are steeeeeep, not because they have rocks & roots.
Most people end up âpower-hikingâ parts of some or all 3 of those hills after the bike anyway.
So, who cares at that point?
