I've been waiting for the successor to the 820. My 820 has been great, but the 830 is checking the boxes I've been wanting checked (and then some). For ultra-endurance races, being able to "hard connect" to the newer Garmin battery will be a big deal. Using cable connections for auxiliary batteries doesn't work all that well -- requires constant attention. It's odd, but that's the difference that's pushing me over the edge. (Pun not intended.)

I pre-ordered my 830 this morning. I just wish I could take delivery before Saturday's race!
