Interesting; I don’t think I have ever spent more than $40 and still have every pump I ever bought over the last 15 years. I don’t even have an issue with Silca’s pricing. They make great, high-end products. But, I just don’t need a luxury air pump. And the one Silca product I did buy—the disc adapter—I could never get to work (I’m willing to admit it could be user error but getting air into a tire shouldn’t be that difficult now should it require multiple people).
