Re: Shorts [nugget]
Hi there. I know it's tough since everyone has their own personal opinion, but I love the Louis Garneau Women's Pro 8 Carbon Tri Shorts. A link from swimoutlet.com is HERE.

Features I like:
Wide bottom bands stay in place for me.
Length, has bottom band in a good comfortable place - not right above my knee, and not so high my leg girth (flab) makes them roll. And no digging / sausage.
Waist, it's "hug fit like". Not a slim elastic band that creates muffin top.
Small waist band pockets in back, good for a gel or something similarly sized.
Nice thin chamois. Means transition runs are really comfortable. (I'd love to race in these, but I have team kit for that). And thin means thin, not just a piece of fleece (which to me is the equivalent of a non-existent chamois).

They change the print, etc from time to time, and possibly the size? I have 2 pairs of these shorts purchased in different years, and tried to pick up a 3rd that looks the same (is actually a different model, LG Women's Tri Power Lazer Tri Shorts), but the same size is much smaller, to the point that I could barely get the Lazer on w/o fear of destroying them.

I have 1 pair Castilli (not Desoto) shorts. The bottom band is a bit narrower than the LG and the shorts are shorter, and the top elastic is narrower and tighter, and now at 5-8 lbs heavier than when I bought them, they are really sausage-inducing. And the pad is thicker and less comfortable to me. I bought them in a store where I could try the kit on, but based on how it fits me, I wouldn't be looking to buy other Castilli (never tried Desoto) shorts at the moment.

Edit to correct brand of shorts. Caught the error while doing laundry last night. My bad!

To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.
