The ironic thing is this was the Patriots in 2001. Longshot to start the year, lose their starting QB during the season, backup is up and down but the rest of the team around him plays well, team is big underdogs in the SB against a dynasty and wind up winning in a thriller. QB kicked ass in the playoffs, with some memorable plays and drives that he carried the team on.
I've said it before but this loss for the Pats stings a lot less because of how the game played out (among other reasons). And there wasn't a player or coach on Philly that bothered me in any way, just a well coached team that played great the whole season and despite losing some key players still kicked ass...can't be mad at that. I'm no fan of Philly or Philly sports but I'm happy for them and their fans.
