What's the longest center of pad reach you have fit someone to successfully?

Also, if you want to share your most outlierish position that you still signed off on. Bonus points for pictures.

I had some pad x,y #s of 590, 640 for a tall male pro the other day. He's 6'2", long in torso, and likes to ride a little stretched. We came up with 565 as his "narrow limit" if he was equipment limited.



I also fit 6'3" male pro a few months back to 610, 590. I thought this was a little extreme on drop (20cm) and we came up a bit, but both of these guys were adamant that longer felt better.



The kicker is my position, which also had a pad reach close to 580, 17cm of drop, and I'm only 5'11" with a 78.5cm seat height on 155 cranks. Not as a drive by gloat, but just to give you an idea of why I think this wasn't bad... I rode that position to the VA state record 40k TT (51 low), and the fastest bike split award at AG national in 2012, WITH a PR run off the bike.



So I have both a good bit of confidence when a certain subset of riders wants go pretty long, but also some trepidation when I put pro's in positions that their bike sponsor terms "crazy". Interested in your input.
