Getting a bike from Chuck's - was secondhand softride roadwing
Hi, thanks for all the advice. I've made the decision to go with a chuck's bike. The tsunami alu frame ( really can't see the titanium being worth the extra money at this stage ) and have opted to go for a full 105 setup (brakes, cranks, cogs, derailiers etc), with dura ace shifters. Total cost will be $800 shipped.

I figured that by going with the better components all round, I leave myself an upgrade path for wheels etc in the future, or can transfer everything to a better frame with a fairly low upgrade cost. Everything I've seen in the tri bike line with full 105 etc has been oover $1400, so I think it's spanking deal.

I want to put it all together myself (never done that before, but I used to repair my motorbikes), so that I can learn how it's built and be better able to tweak/repair it in the future, so I'll be buying a book and trying to rope in a couple of knowlegable triathletes locally for a beer and build up party.

I'll post something when I'm done.

Cheers,

J.
