couldn't be more impressed with the shifting. the only problem is i kept forgetting that i had shifters in the pursuit position and reached up to the aero bars to shift anyway.
first ride notes, impressions and questions:
- really like the adjustability of the aero bar, very nice
- had to take the draft box off to get my powertap wheel to spin. the bolt that attached it was unbelievably tight. does it need to be this tight to prevent it from coming loose and rubbing the tire? (wondering about this for when i try to put it back on) is the box important for aerodynamics? i like the way the bike looks a lot better without the box anyway, it doesn't hold as much as my regular seat bag, and i'm not too excited about putting it on/taking it off after each race. i guess they are making a new version of this box that solves the rubbing issue. will it be free for current owners?
- pursuit position is not very comfortable for me, bar is too low and too far forward with the 65/10 stem. it makes me wonder if i could do a hilly IM or half on this bike. ymmv.
