Course Info: The swim is a 450 yard pool swim. Male swimmers swim 9 laps in the West (standard) Pool. Female swimmers swim 8 laps in the East (meter) Pool.
This flat 18k bike course is to be completed in 5 clockwise laps. The bike course is closed to traffic in the presence of race participants. Police presence will be at each intersection. Please be aware of moving vehicles. Participants are responsible for counting their own laps. Participants must pass single file over the bike lap verification mats, as well as the mats located at the transition entry and exit points.
The 5k run route is an out and back flat course. Runners are expected to stay to the far left on the run out. Police presence will be available on run route. Runners must completely all run verification mats at the transition exit and run turn around points.
More: The Tower Triathlon, in its 27th year, is a ChampionChip timed and USAT sanctioned race long considered an ideal “warm up” for the Chicagoland areas longer distance events and a perfect venue for the first time triathlete. This 450 yard swim, 18k bike and 5k run is fully supported by volunteers, aid stations and a spectator friendly course. Each year the Tower Triathlon proceeds are donated to the Leaning Tower YMCA Strong Kids Campaign
