Course Info: The XTERRA Deuces Wild course treats you to a one-loop swim in the refreshing waters of Fool Hollow Lake in the cool White Mountains of AZ. Allow the wetsuit strippers to help you take off your wetsuit, then head off on a mountain bike ride through the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in America. It's a fast course, with some crazy descents and occasional log crossings to make it more interesting. The run will have you cursing or praying as you head into the Eliminator, and expect to get your shoes a little wet! Great course for the first-time XTERRA triathlete! Fantastic volunteers and fully stocked aid stations are only a couple of the amenities you'll experience at this race!
More: You can expect nothing but the best from the staff and volunteers at the Deuces Wild events! Custom-made awards run 3-deep in all age groups (1st only in relays), and overall top 5 receive gift certificates from our title sponsor, TriSports.com! Post-race food includes a BBQ lunch along with all the usual goodies, and an ice-cold popsicle will greet you at the finish. Medals made from recycled bike parts are a hit, and can be re-used after you take it off your neck. Our raffle is second-to-none, giving away over $32,000 in prizes last year (and we're talking things like wheels and bike frames). Best of all, all proceeds go to charity, so you can feel darn good about giving us your money!
