I thought that's what the Qalvin app was for. To recalibrate yourself without sending it back.

I know the newer cranks don't need recalibration. What model do you have ?

You do need a special glue. I can dig up the instructions if needed.

Here is the scoop, I spoke with Quarq on the phone today.

The arms can be switched to another like crankset with a removable spider. The Quarq spider is retained with loctite 638- green. It is a retaining "glue", not a thread locker like other common loctite.
Assemble with the spider torques to 10nm. Make sure to torque spec your chainring bolts to 8nm if aluminum and 12nm of steel, or whatever the chainrings bolt manufacture states. Recalibrate the "slope" using the qualvin app you can use on your apple mobile device, in my case- an iPad. You need the Wahoo ant+ dongle for the iPad to "talk" to the quarq crank in order to use the app.

Qalvin is available for mac and windows. Maybe that will work if you have one.
