Research opportunity for Cyclists and Runners in the UP area,
Quote | Reply
My daughter is a student at Northern Michigan University in Marquette MI and sent me this email today telling me about an opportunity to participate in some performance testing. I will not be able to take part but was told it would be okay if I shared the information with other so here is the email:

Subject: Research opportunity for Cyclist/Runners
We are still looking for a few more participants for this study. In
addition we are now able to include those up to age 45! So if you were
not eligible last time, perhaps you are now…

Are you a cyclist and/or runner interested in knowing where your
training level stands? We are conducting a study that will provide you
your lactate threshold in both running and cycling. We are interested in
the transition from cycling to running in duathlon/triathlons. To study
the transition, each participant would have a lactate threshold test
done in cycling and running. They would then have two more test days,
one with 30 minutes of stationary cycling before running a 5K; and a day
where they just run a 5K. You should be able to run a 10K in 50 minutes
or less and be aged 18-40.

If you're interested in participating, please contact Christian Weich
via email at Christian.Weich@uni-konstanz.de or Randy Jensen via email
at rajensen@nmu.edu or 227-1184.

This project has been approved by the NMU IRB (HS15-709).
