There won't be much recruiting news as there are only 7 schools that have NCAA programs at this point. (7 of the 8 that were offered grant money) Not all schools are offering scholarship money, and those that do are working with very little $$$ currently.

I've watched Emily race at some big events over the past couple of year (Youth Olympics Nanjing China, CAMTRI Champs Monterrey Mexico, etc) and she's talented. It'll be fun to see this system that can bring together quality coaching, talented athletes in a dedicated environment (in this case Cliff English/Emily Wagner/ASU). Now we just need to duplicate this is 50+ schools so that athletes who are 18ish to 23ish can have a place to develop while gaining higher education.

I've had meetings here with ADs at three different schools in the Los Angeles area and starting a program will require one of two things: either a Title IX need for a women's program or the flat out desire from someone at a decision making level (president of the school) to want triathlon.

More specific your query, former TTS Junior Elite Jocelyn Bonney is finishing up her senior year in high school here in LA and she's committed to Sonni Dyer's team at Queens. She got 2nd at the Women's Collegiate National Championships a couple of months back and she's on a steep trajectory. I saw that Kyleigh Spearing committed to Cornell - but this will be again one of those situations where a multisporter will go single sport in school for four years. That worked for Hunter Kemper back in the day, we'll have to wait to see if that can still happen now (perhaps Tony Smoragiewicz while be the next to demonstrate).
