Saw this last night. Really helpful to get a sense of scale for the goggles.

Be great if these were part of the ST roadshow. I got to try the other Roka goggles and the suits at 70.3 Santa Cruz last year.

Hi TitanFlexr,

Not sure we'll be in the ST road show this year. It's focused on activation with retail partners, and we made a concerted move to focus on the direct model at the end of last year, closing many wholesale accounts and lowering goggle and other prices on our website to pass savings to direct customers.

Our team is in California all the time though doing demos for teams and participating at events. You might contact them at support@rokasports.com and see if we can organize a group where you are so we could make a quick trip out to visit and show you our stuff. We'll also be at Oceanside 70.3 in March and a bunch of other events in California this year.

Best,
Rob

I'm hoping to pick up a pair when they're available.. Almost hit the preorder button today actually. However I'm nervous about the molded nose bridge fitting over my nose.. I've worm Speedo Vanquishers for years now.. can you compare them for me?Thanks!

Fit is so personal is difficult to advise. The Vanquisher is more like our F1. Some people can fit both styles, others not. We have a 30 day money back guarantee if that helps.

las night I got to try my new R1 goggles (dark vermilion mirror) but they fogged almost immediately, faster or more than normal. I swam in an outdoor pool in South Florida with outside temp of 70 water temp just below 80.

Any suggestions as to how to avoid fogging?

Hi BigH,

The best advice we have from our AF coating supplier is to dip the goggle in water first to help create a barrier between the inner lens and your face. This helps activate the coating. Fogging is caused by a temp and humidity difference between your face and the inner lens, so getting the lens wet first can help. We use the same AF process (and in fact the same AF supplier) as one of our more established competitors from the pool swim world. It's a proven process, so there isn't anything different we're doing there.

Give that a shot and let me know if it's a persistent issue. If so, please ping us at support@rokasports.com, and we'd be happy to swap it out.

Best,
Rob

Tried my R1s out for the first time yesterday in the pool. No fogging issues, felt great!

I got 2 pairs as a gift apparently from a WSJ article on them and I tried them Tues night. I swam for an hour and no fog whatsoever. I really liked the clarity, I like the angle of the lens looking forward.

My only complaint is not having an adjustable nose bridge, the stock one was OK but I think it could have been made even more comfortable with this small addition. Otherwise I think it is my new favorite for the pool, I was not impressed with the larger OWS goggles that I bought last summer.

I have always understood it best to spit (saliva) on the inside of each lens, distribute it quickly with a finger then quickly rinse, or dip in pool. Perhaps this is dated given the newer coatings. I will have to try merely dipping in water. In the meantime, I am ordering a pair of R1's as they sound interesting especially with a wider view - assuming its not too distorted.

Thanks for the advise. Try them yesterday and did get some fogging. I had to add water to de lens every 400yds. Next week I'll compare them with a pair of new Kayennes
